With fake SMS, the victim is directed to the fake site with the thought "I have a cargo package".

Typical Scenario

  1. SMS is received: "Aras Cargo - payment has not been made for the delivery of the package"
  2. Link is clicked
  3. Fake payment page
  4. He enters card information
  5. Account is emptied
  • TCK art.158/1-f fraud with information system
  • TCK art.245 bank card crimes
  • TCK art.135 personal data

What the victim should do

  • Call the bank and block the card
  • Complaint to the public prosecutor's office
  • Message/link screenshot
  • Account activity objection

Prevention

  • Official application of the cargo company
  • Do not click on links in SMS
  • Suspicious payment request → call the cargo company
