Traffic rules and fault assessment differ in special road conditions such as highways, tunnels, ramps and curves.
Highway Special Rules
- Lane following - left lane is always prohibited
- Stopping in the middle of the lane is prohibited
- Speed limits are high (may be 140 km/h)
- No U-turn
- Pedestrian/bicycle prohibited
In the tunnel
- It is mandatory to turn on headlights while passing
- Changing lanes is prohibited (except between tunnels)
- U-turn, reverse gear is prohibited
- Stopping in the middle of emergency lanes is prohibited
On the ramp/hill
- Uphill has priority
- Using the handbrake is mandatory (stopping)
- It is forbidden to turn off the engine downhill

Supreme Court 17. HD
17. HD adopts that the rule of "speed appropriate to road conditions" is particularly important in accidents on highways and private roads, and that in the absence of signs, standard speed will be taken as basis.
Responsibility of Highways Administration
In case of accidents caused by road maintenance, marking, lack of lighting, a full jurisdiction lawsuit may be filed against the administration (60 days, administrative court).
