- Espionage: 15-20 years, in some cases aggravated life imprisonment
- Obtaining state secrets: 8-12 years
- Providing information: 5-15 years

Constitutional Court/ECHR
The Constitutional Court and the ECHR want the "right to a fair trial" to be protected in espionage cases, and the balance between confidentiality and the defendant's right to defense to be carefully observed.
