In some violations within the scope of KTK, the vehicle is banned from traffic. The license plate is taken temporarily and the vehicle is connected.
Reasons for Exclusion from Traffic
- Driving without insurance
- Vehicle without inspection (long time)
- Unregistered vehicle
- Serious KTK violations (alcohol 3+ times)
- Modification (against the license)
Withdrawal Process
- The deficiency is corrected (insurance, inspection, modification refund)
- Application to the traffic registration office
- Penalties are paid
- The plate is returned
Periods
- The plate that is not received within 30 days is cancelled
- A new plate must be issued (additional fee)
Modification
- Must be in accordance with the license (engine, body, color)
- Otherwise, traffic ban + registration change is mandatory
- Type Approval Certificate is required for engine change
Supreme Court / Council of State
The Council of State requires that traffic ban decisions be "proportionate" and the way of recovery should be kept open, and force majeure claims will be evaluated.
