The Law on Mediation in Civil Disputes No. 6325 regulates the powers and responsibilities of the mediator.
Requirements for Being a Mediator (Art.20)
- Turkish citizen, law school graduate
- 5 years of professional seniority
- Mediation training (140 hours)
- Exam
- Ministry of Justice Registration in the Registry
Authorities

Limits of Authority
- NO decision-making authority (difference from a mediator)
- Cannot give legal advice
- Impartial must be treated

- Statements made in mediation are confidential

Fee
It charges a fee based on the minimum wage tariff determined by the Ministry of Justice.
