By Birth (TVK article 7)
- Child born to Turkish parents → Turkish citizen (everywhere)
- Stateless child born in Türkiye → Turkish citizen
- Child born in Türkiye and unable to prove citizenship → Turkish citizen
Subsequent Acquisition
- General application (article 11): 5 years legal stay
- Exceptional (article 12): Investment, service
- Marriage (article 16): Marriage with a Turkish citizen for 3 years
- Adoption (article 10): Turkish citizen son acquired
- Regaining (art. 13-15):Those who renounce citizenship
