A foreigner who wants to get a residence permit in Türkiye must have compulsory health insurance

Types of Health Insurance

  • Private health insurance: Packages designed for foreigners
  • General Health Insurance (GSS): Within the scope of SSI, by paying premium

Private Health Insurance

  • Annual premium (varies depending on age)
  • Contracted hospital network
  • Certain coverage limits
  • Generally emergency + hospitalization coverage

GSS (SGK)

  • Foreign employee: employer pays (4-A)
  • Independent: self-pays (Bağ-Kur 4-B)
  • Family members are dependent on the insured
