Electronic Signature Law No. 5070 regulates the legal validity of electronic signature.
Signature Types
- Simple e-signature: Like an e-mail signature (weak evidence)
- Advanced e-signature: Certified (intermediate level)
- Qualified e-signature (QEC): ESHS certificate — Same legal value as a wet signature
Mobile Signature
Qualified e-signature integrated with the operator SIM card. Provided by Türk Telekom, Vodafone, Türkcell.
KEP (Registered Electronic Mail)
Law No. 5070 and TTK article 18: KEP is an e-mail system that cannot be denied by the sender-receiver and whose content integrity is guaranteed.

KEP Obligation
Joint-stock/limited companies are required to obtain a KEP address. Notification is made via KEP.
Supreme Court 11. HD
11. HD accepts that the notification made via KEP is valid, and even if the recipient does not open it, the periods will start to run from notification date.
