Refund of Unfair Bank Fees: Account Operation, Commission, Card

Refund lawsuits are frequently filed against various fees charged by banks from consumers.

Disputed Fees

  • Account management fee (there are files considered unfair)
  • Credit file fee (Supreme Court limited acceptance)
  • Card dues (if not included in the contract refund)
  • Early closure fee (limited by TKHK)
  • Life insurance (should not be mandatory)

Refund Process

  1. Written request to the bank
  2. If rejected, BRSA + consumer arbitration committee
  3. If insufficient, consumer court

13. HD accepts that the "account management fee" can be collected if it is "explicitly stipulated in the contract and reasonable", but that the unilaterally imposed fees must be refunded. Complaint

The Banking Association and BRSA make general regulations against unfair fees. It does not support the consumer's personal case, but it does serve as a precedent.
