Mobile Phone Warranty Period and Broken Device Rights

There is a 2-year legal warranty period for consumer goods such as mobile phones, laptops and white goods (TKHK).

Warranty Conditions

  • Consumer use (personal)
  • Warranty document signed/registered
  • Repair at the manufacturer's authorized service

Warranty Scope External

  • User error (dropping, getting wet)
  • Intervention other than authorized service
  • Modification
  • Smoking, liquid damage

Repair Period

  • Must be repaired within 20 business days
  • Otherwise, the consumer may request replacement/return
  • Replacement device must be given. (in large household goods)

Same Malfunction for the 3rd Time

If the same malfunction recurs for the 3rd time or different malfunctions occur 3 times, the consumer may request direct replacement/refund.

13. HD adopts that an expert report is essential in "wetting" and "dropping" claims, and that if the seller cannot prove his claim, a decision will be made in favor of the consumer.
