TKHK article 47: In sales made door-to-door or outside the workplace, the consumer may withdraw without justification within 14 days.
Scope
- Sales at home
- At the workplace (office, factory)
- On the street or in the corridors of the shopping mall
- Sales through meetings/seminars
- Private transportation vehicles
Right of Withdrawal
- 14 days, without justification
- All price is refunded
- Goods are returned (cargo from seller)
Form of the Contract
- Must be in writing
- A copy must be given to the consumer
- Right of withdrawal must be clearly stated
Written Contract Otherwise
- The withdrawal period extends to 1 year
- Results against the seller
Typical Problems
- Insistent sales to the elderly (TBK art. 39 cheating/pressure)
- Making them sign at the door
- Giving a "gift" and then demanding a fee

13. HD accepts that in door-to-door sales, if the consumer proves that he "signed under duress", the contract will be deemed invalid and a criminal complaint is possible.
